Komodo National Park, Indonesia

Komodo National Park was established in 1980 with the main purpose to protect the endangered species "komodo dragon" and their natural habitat. Located approximately 200 nautical miles to the east of Bali, precisely between the island of Sumbawa and Flores islands. Administratively, the area is located within the District of Komodo, West Manggarai regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province.

There are more than 250 species of animals in komodo national park, a combination of asian animal and australia, composed of species of mammals, birds and reptiles. moreover Komodo national park is rich in diversity of the underwater world, there are more than 250 species of corals that form coral reefs with about 1000 species of fish live there. making it one of the world's favorite destination for divers.

in 1986, this national park was accepted as a world heritage site by UNESCO, and also at the end of 2011 komodo national park has been established as the new 7 wonders of the world.
